Today we had our story test and introduced new vocabulary and phonics for next week (-ng and -nk)

NO HOMEWORK. Take a rest and enjoy the single day off.


Friday February 22nd
Today we wrote some sentences using action verbs, practiced phonics of -y and reading comprehension and fluency.

Thursday February 21st
Today we wrote some sentences to tell a story from pictures, reviewed our story, revised verbs and looked at -y phonics.

 Today students were working in their separate home rooms in the morning, so I will not see them until our class on Thursday this week!

Week 21 (1/14-1/18)

Friday January 18th
Today was the last day of Fall semester. It is hard to believe we are already half way through the school year! I wish you and your family a happy and safe winter holiday period.


There is no set homework during the vacation period. We encourage children to take a well-deserved break, relax and recharge their batteries ready for next semester.
Please remember there is Pearson Realize available with some stories and activities inside.

Thursday January 17th
Today we wrote sentences on a variety of topics and practiced listening and reading comprehension to retell a short story. Teachers will collect Phonics and Writing books to keep at school for next semester. Reading Street and Readers and Writers Notebook will be sent home, as we will be moving into new books in February.

Wednesday January 16th
Today students enjoyed a field trip in their separate home rooms.
Due to the late arrival back to school, apologies that communication books and homework were not checked today. I will check both Tuesday/Wednesday tomorrow. :-)

Today we read over our story The Farmer in the Hat and looked at some long a phonics (-ame, ake, -ace, -age).

Today students presented their oral speaking exams. We also spent time revising the Honey Bees story.

Today students revised Honey Bees story and general preparation for the written exam next week. We also wrote some descriptive and action sentences.
